Find a Missing Package That Shows As Delivered
Steps to Take If Your Package Shows as Delivered But Is Missing
- Check the Immediate Area
Look around your front porch, mailbox, side door, garage, bushes, or any place the driver may have left the package.
Check for a delivery photo if available (UPS and Amazon often include this). - Ask Household Members or Neighbors
Someone else in your household may have brought the package inside.
Neighbors sometimes receive packages by mistake. - Wait 24–48 Hours
Occasionally, packages are marked “Delivered” prematurely and arrive a day or two later. - Contact the Carrier
Use the tracking number to file a delivery inquiry with the carrier:
- USPS – Missing Mail Request or call 1-800-275-8777 (Also, the local post office can sometimes be very helpful)
- UPS – Help Center or call 1-888-742-5877
- FedEx – Tracking Page or call 1-800-463-3339
⚠️ Note: We are unable to send a replacement until these steps are completed, as this is required to open an investigation with the carrier.
Before we can assist with a claim, please ensure the following:
1. You provided the correct delivery address at checkout.
2. You promptly checked tracking updates and attempted to retrieved your package after delivery in a timely manner.
3. You contacted the carrier to confirm the GPS delivery location.
4. If misdelivered, you coordinated with the carrier for retrieval and redelivery.
Insurance Coverage:
Basic insurance may be included by the carrier. We also use secondary insurance for some shipments. Note: theft after delivery (porch theft) is not considered a carrier error, though some claims may still be covered.
Porch Theft:
Package theft is treated as a crime. USPS deliveries are investigated by the Postal Inspector. Most claims require a sworn affidavit, and some may also need a police report.
