Trouble Code: P0705

Trans axle Range Switch Circuit Malfunction/

Trouble Code Conditions: Engine started, system voltage over 10.0v, and

other than P/N during start-up Note: This test must fail 2 out of 4

consecutive tests in order to set this trouble code.

Possible Causes:

TR switch circuit is or shorted to ground

TR switch circuit is shorted to another PRNDL circuit

TR switch is damaged or out of adjustment

PCM has failed

Trans axle Range Switch (PRNDL) Performance/

Trouble Code Conditions: Engine started, system voltage over 10.0v, and

the PCM detected the Trans axle Range switch signal indicated a range

other than P/N during start-up Note: This test must fail 2 out of 4

consecutive tests in order to set this trouble code.

Possible Causes:

TR switch circuit is or shorted to ground

TR switch circuit is shorted to another PRNDL circuit

TR switch is damaged or out of adjustment

PCM has failed

TFT Sensor Range/Performance (4L60-E, 4L80-E)/

Trouble Code Conditions: DTC P0502, P0503, P0894 or P1870 not set,

engine started, engine run-time over 409 seconds, system voltage over

10.0v, ECT sensor more than 158ºF and a change of 90ºF since start-up,

TFT sensor from -40 to 70ºF at start-up, then TFT sensor from -36 to 304ºF,

Possible Causes:

ATF fluid level too low or the fluid is contaminated or burnt

TFT sensor is contaminated, damaged or "skewed"

PCM has failed

Trouble Code: P0711

TFT Sensor Range/Performance (4L60-E, 4L80-E)/

Trouble Code Conditions: DTC P0502, P0503, P0894 or P1870 not set,

engine started, engine run-time over 409 seconds, system voltage over

10.0v, ECT sensor more than 158ºF and a change of 90ºF since start-up,

TFT sensor from -40 to 70ºF at start-up, then TFT sensor from -36 to 304ºF,

ATF fluid level too low or the fluid is contaminated or burnt

TFT sensor is damaged or has failed (it may be shorted)

started, and the PCM detected the TFT sensor was less than -33ºF (a

voltage of over 4.92v) for 10 seconds during the CCM test.

TFT sensor connector is damaged, loose or open

TFT sensor signal circuit is open between the sensor and PCM

TFT sensor signal circuit is shorted to VREF or system power

TCC Brake Switch Circuit Low Input (4L60-E)/

Trouble Code Conditions: DTC P0502 not set, engine started, vehicle

speed less than 5 mph, then the vehicle speed was 5-20 mph for 3

seconds, followed by a period with the speed over 20 mph for 6-8

seconds, and the PCM detected the Brake Switch circuit indicated (0)

volts for 15

Possible Causes:

TCC brake switch circuit is open or shorted to ground

TCC brake switch power circuit is open (check the PCM IGN, ENG GEN or

other related fuse in under-hood junction block)

TCC brake switch is out of adjustment or damaged

Trouble Code: P0719

TCC Brake Switch Circuit Low Input (4L60-E)/

Trouble Code Conditions: DTC P0502 not set, engine started, vehicle

speed less than 5 mph, then the vehicle speed was 5-20 mph for 3

seconds, followed by a period with the speed over 20 mph for 6-8

seconds, and the PCM detected the Brake Switch circuit indicated (0)

volts for 15

Possible Causes:

TCC brake switch circuit is open or shorted to ground

TCC brake switch power circuit is open (check the PCM IGN, ENG GEN or

other related fuse in under-hood junction block)

TCC Brake Switch Circuit High Input (4L60-E)/

Trouble Code Conditions: DTC P0502 and P0503 not set, vehicle speed more

seconds, followed by a period with the vehicle speed less than 5 mph,

and the PCM detected the Brake switch circuit was 12-14v at least 7

Check for ABS trouble codes (they can cause this code to set)

TCC brake switch circuit is shorted to system power

TCC brake switch is out of adjustment or damaged

TCC Brake Switch Circuit High Input (4L60-E)/

Trouble Code Conditions: DTC P0502 and P0503 not set, vehicle speed more

than 20 mph for 6 seconds, then the speed decreased to 5 mph for 2-6

and the PCM detected the Brake switch circuit was 12-14v at least 7

TCC solenoid control circuit is open, shorted to ground or to B+

TCC solenoid power circuit is open (test the TRANS fuse)

TCC solenoid is damaged or has failed
