Supplied pre-set to your key’s VATS resistor value (1 of 15). Bypass solution for GM vehicles that use the VATS / Pass-Key resistor pellet key (black resistor pellet in the ignition key). This module bypasses the resistor pellet detection circuit so the vehicle can start normally when VATS key-reading issues occur.
What it does: The GM VATS system reads the resistor pellet in the ignition key and sends a “key OK” signal. If the key value is read incorrectly, the vehicle may crank and not start or shut down quickly. This bypass is built to your provided key resistance value to eliminate the pellet-reading failure point.
